A few nights ago, I ventured down to the lake to check out the full moon. However, the second anniversary of my newsletter swept in and took over so I'm including pics today.

My friend who usually accompanies me every month couldn't attend so my hubby begrudgingly came along. He was missing the baseball game but since it was well after 9 pm and it's so dark down by the water (and the path isn't lit) he didn't want me going alone.
​
The two previous nights were either overcast or raining so this was my last attempt. Luckily, we hit the jackpot as the skies were clear. The funny thing? Even though this month's moon is called the Pink Moon, it wasn't really pink at all! More of an orange red tone.

This is the best I could do with my iPhone. The picture at the top of this email is one that my hubby snuck of me while I took pictures of the moon ad nauseum. 🤣

I kind of love the way it turned, even though he has an iPhone as well and the moon is a bit of a blob. I love that you can see stars in the background! Or maybe that's a planet? I didn't notice it at the time so I didn't think to use my app which identifies stars/constellations in the sky. I'll be sharing some cool apps I use that enhance my enjoyment of the great outdoors with you soon.

Next month's moon is the Flower Moon so I'm excited to see how that one turns out.
