Hi Reader,How was your day?I had an awesome Tea Party call today with Michelle Rohr in her Say Yes to Desire membership. Normally we spend 90 minutes chatting about life and business but today she went over what she's been using in what she termed her Reset Month along with some essential tools she's been using on her journey. What a wonderful meeting! There was so much to unpack and I'll be going through her recommendations over the next little while. Of course, I'll be share anything that I...

Hi Reader,Happy Sunday!I had a few people write me about my last email about going down to the lake at sunrise. A few of you were interested in seeing the photo of the pink sky with the rainbow. I promised to email it to some of you directly but I thought I'd share that with you here instead so everyone could check it out.I honestly didn't think it was worthy of posting but I'll let you be the judge of it. Initially, I hesitated because A) It was shot through the mesh of my window and B) the...

Hi Reader,How has your week been so far? My sleeping schedule has been a little wonky as of late. I passed out on the couch last night and woke up at 3 am and couldn't go back to sleep. I was just finally heading to bed in the wee hours of the morning when I looked out my back window and saw the most gorgeous sky. A mix of purple and red mixed with gold. It was breathtaking! When I ran to see what the view looked looked my front window, I couldn't believe it! It was even more stunning if you...

Hi Reader,Happy Sunday! I hope you're having a lovely weekend. It was supposed to be cold and rainy but today has been sunny and beautiful with mild temperatures. I wish I had ignored the forecast as I ventured out yesterday for a sunset stroll and it was super chilly. Plus, the bugs are now back in full force creating huge swarms by the lake. Yuck! Bugs + warm weather is a fair trade off. But cold and swarmy? Not my favourite thing but at least it signals the arrival of beautiful weather...

Hi Reader,How has your week been so far? Did you check out the eclipse on Monday? The forecast was pretty grim as the skies were completely overcast but we decided to head to the Toronto Zoo. That way, if we saw nothing, we could at least enjoy checking out the animals and having other things to do besides staring at a thick blanket of gray.Luckily, there were a few moments with some fleeting breaks in the clouds where we actually were treated to glimpses of the eclipse. What made it more fun...

Hi Reader,Just a quick one from me today as I'm headed out shortly to check out the solar eclipse.Sadly, it looks like we're going to be experiencing a cloudy day here which really puts a damper on this lifetime event. However, even if it's viewed through heavy cloud cover, it's still dangerous to try to observe the sun during an eclipse, so if you're located somewhere within the path of the event, please take care.If you've been with me for awhile, you know I love taking photos. However, for...

Hi Reader,Happy Sunday! How has your weekend been? It's been a gorgeous couple of days - clear and sunny, but still cold and crisp, with winter's icy grasp still holding on for dear life. Tomorrow, my son has the day off as the solar eclipse is happening around the time he gets off of school, so the Toronto School Board decided to switch up the Professional Activity Days and move it to tomorrow instead. They wanted to ensure kids weren't leaving the school and staring up at the sun. I bought...

Hi Reader,It's been a rainy, cold miserable day over the last few days so I haven't gotten any walks in. We were under a weather advisory with winds gusting to 85 km/h and heavy rain. I was going to go on my walk with my senior group yesterday but I don't love being blown around in a downpour. I also love to take photos which isn't a great recipe for camera equipment. I also just wrapped up a year long membership think tank I was in yesterday. I was sad to see it end but sometimes you have to...

Hi Reader, Happy Easter to those that celebrate. Just popping in for a quick one as I'm adulting today and was rushing around prepping for the Easter Bunny's imminent visit last night. Hey, these holidays don't just happen right? They take effort. 😆The Easter Bunny, Santa, and that crazy Tooth Fairy lady are all the perfect visitors to get my son into bed at a decent hour so I can prep for the next day. Usually we're pretty good about getting everything organized except we both fell asleep...

Hi Reader,My trip down to the beach to see the full moon on Monday was a bit of a bust.Yes, the moon came out and it was a clear night with great visibility. However, the high, gusty winds off the lake foiled my plans. The night before, it was about eight degrees colder but it was a lot less windy so it actually felt warmer. I had read that the temperatures would be rising dramatically by the following day so I was expecting to have a more comfortable setting to take pictures but it turns out...
